washington, much of northern virginia and western maryland. they are going to stay wet here throughout the entire day. all of this coming from a front that's producing all this rain that's moving in and advancing, getting a little bit heavier now just southeast of charleston, west virginia. that's now moving into the far southeastern portions of west virginia. that's going to eventually move into the southern shenandoah valley in about another two hours or so, and then closer to the metro area, that looks like that's going to happen around 3:00 this afternoon. ahead of that, we've got mild and muggy air. temperatures around 70 degrees much of the region. hour by hour by 7:00 a.m., still cloudy. rain west of the metro area. a few scattered sprinkles around the immediate metro area. we'll be hovering near 70. some of those showers beginning to move in. then quickly after that, by 3:00 or so, we could have some of those storms producing those damaging winds that might bring down power lines and tree limbs. unfortunately, that risk extends into this evening. your first 4 traffic now with d

shoulder lane. talk about delays. usual suspects, i-95 in virginia. fairfax county parkway, heavy on the brakes in this area. delays start at lorton. pretty slow as you head to springfield parkway. let's head over to i-270, slow out of frederick. making your way southbound, pretty sluggish out of 109. those areas look fine right now, but it's starting to heat up as you make your way over to the end. back over to you. >>> police say they found nothing out of the ordinary after someone called in a bomb threat last night. officers focus their search on two daily parking garages. several flights were also delayed because passengers had to wait to board their flights. the airport's authority says no flights were evacuated because of the threat, but one traveler tells news 4 he and other passengers had to get off their plane, which was heading to chicago. >>> new this morning, montgomery county police searching for the person who stabbed a man on mills choice road. we're told the victim was stabbed several times in the chest and neck. he was taken to the hospital. his name and condition

is community members gather to remember a well-known family dead in their virginia home. this comes as many questions remain unanswered this morning. news 4's melissa mollet joins us live from herndon now with the latest on the investigation. melissa, good morning. >> good morning to you, aaron. that's right. we just spoke with investigators. they say the bodies have been removed from the home here in herndon, and the autopsies are scheduled forred today. investigators will be back out here again this morning. they were out here 15 hours from yesterday at noon until early this morning. we'll be back out here in just a little while. one officer has been out here on the scene since about midnight, just keeping this scene secure. they are still not saying at this point what they think happened to this family. take a look at things from out here yesterday. we know a mother and father and two teenage boys lived in the house. when the mother didn't show up for the work on monday and tuesday, a co-worker called police. they say there is no threat to the community. though the families' identities h
